Hola, soy Gastón

Full-stack developer from Montevideo, Uruguay. 18+ years in IT gave me an uncommon path: servers and infrastructure, running IT and eCommerce operations, and several years in data analysis (Power BI, Tableau, Python) before moving fully into building software. So when we sit down to discuss a project, I'm not only talking about code — I understand the operation, the numbers and the business behind it.

I work across the whole cycle: how the data is stored, how the application looks and behaves, and the servers it ends up running on. I take old systems nobody wants to touch and bring them up to date, untangle the technical problems that stall a project, and ship applications that hold up under real use — and I stay answerable for them once they're running.

When I'm not coding, you'll find me drinking mate, watching football (La Celeste, obviously), or exploring new technologies to bring to my projects.
